COMMON PRODUCTS IN USA

Hi everybody!

Today I want to start my new post in English. I think is better for English people who wants to read my Blog as well.

I’m gonna start to talk about some different and common products in United States that I think are very interesting to know when you come in USA for your first time.

One of the most common product for the kids in the USA are the famous Goldfish. There are a lot of types of these. You can find it very easy at the Supermarket with a lot of flavours (cheese, chocolate, etc..).

Every morning I put one bag of Goldfish for my host sister «the little one» for school, because she always wants to eat it. Usually the kids eat this like a snack.

Hoy quiero empezar my nuevo post en Inglés. Pienso que es mejor para la gente que no entiende español y quienes quieren entender y leer mi blog también.

Voy empezar hablar sobre algunos productos comunes en Estados Unidos que pienso que es muy interesante conocer cuando vienes en USA por primera vez.

Uno de los productos más famosos para los niños en USA son los famosos Goldfish. Hay de muchos tipos. Puedes encontrarlos muy fácilmente en el supermercado con muchos sabores (queso, chocolate, etc..).

Cada mañana pongo una bolsa de Goldfish para mi host sister (la mas pequeña) para la escuela, porque ella siempre quiere romper esto. Normalmente los niños comen esto como merienda.

The second product very common in USA is Pure Maple Syrup. The most expensive and high quality syrup is from Vermont (another state) , but you can buy it in the Supermarket as well, is easier and chepear.

American people eat this amazing syrup with Waffles and for breakfast. Personally, It’s my best breakfast in the mornings. Since I’m in USA, I can say that I’m addictive and I’m really involved with this great syrup. 😀

I have to prepare it 2 mornings per week for my host sisters on breakfast, because they loves as well. Specially the Eggo brand, because is more fluffy. «My host sisters are a little picky».

El segundo producto muy común en USA es el Pure Maple Syrup. El mas caro y de buena calidad es el de Vermont (otro estado), pero puedes comprarlo en el supermercado también, es mas fácil y mas barato.

Los americanos comen este espectacular syrup con gofres y por el desayuno. Personalmente, es mi mejor desayuno por las mañanas. Des de que estoy en USA, puedo decir que soy adicta al Syrup. 😀

A las niñas tengo que prepararles dos veces por semana en el desayuno, por que les encanta también. Especialmente la marca Eggo, porque es mas esponjoso. «Mis Host sisters son un poco escrupulosas».

A third successful product that I guess everyone has seen in some American tv show or film, is Peanut Butter. My Host mum loves it, but personally I hate it.

Sorry for the people who loves it, but for me is very oversweet and sticky.

In America the people eat this with toast or Bimbo, is very common in all of the American families. You can eat like a snack or breakfast, whatever you want. I believe that people in USA eat it every moment, even when they are sleeping, hahahaha !

Uno de los mas exitosos productos que supongo que habrás visto en alguna serie o película americana, es la mermelada de cacahuete. My Host Mum le encanta, pero yo la odio.

Perdón por la gente que le encanta esto, pero para mi es muy empalagoso.

En America, la gente come esto con tostada or pan Bimbo, es muy común en todas las familias Americanas. Lo puedes comer en el desayuno o en la merienda, cuando quieras. Creo que la gente en USA se come esto en cada momento, incluso cuando están durmiendo, hahahaha!

The fourth product are these sweet and odd cereals.

Can you explain me why the children love it? OMG! For me is horrible!

Did you try it some day? I suggest you that you never try, please. Is disgusting! Trust me! If someone think the contrary, please, let me a good reason about it for change my thought.

PD: I assure you that it will not change xD. IMPOSIBLE!

El cuarto producto son estos dulces y extraños cereales.

¿Puedes explicarme porque a los niños les encanta? ¡Madre mía! Para mi son horribles!

¿Los has probado alguna vez? Te sugiero que nunca los pruebes, por favor. Es repugnante! Confía en mi!  Si alguien piensa lo contrario, por favor, dame una buena razón sobre esto para cambiar mi pensamiento.

PD: Le aseguro que mi pensamiento no cambiará. IMPOSIBLE!

The fifth product that I think you can’t never miss in USA is KETCHUP. In this country the kids usually eat meat and french fries with this product that you can see is almost empty. It’s like water for them 😀

El quinto producto que pienso que nunca puedes olvidar en estados unidos es el KETCHUP. En este país los niños normalmente comen la carne y las patatas fritas con este producto que puedes ver medio vacío. Es como agua para ellos. 😀

The sixth product that I want to show you is the famous bottles with different flavors. My girls always drink this with some snack. Is very typical see american kids with these bottles on the street. At least in my area I have seen a lot of kids with them.

El sexto producto que quiero mostraros son las famosas botellas con diferentes sabores. Mis niñas siempre beben esto con la merienda. Es muy típico ver niños americans con estas botellas por la calle. Al menos en mi zona he visto a muchos niños con ellas.

On the other hand, I want to show you some curious products about Christmas.

In USA is common to make some products oriented to Christmas, like fragrance, soap, body creme, etc..  The flavours are great and you can find a wide variety .

The three little bottles are soap and is normal to bring one of them in your bag to clean your hands when you are outside.

Por otro lado, quiero mostraros algunos productos curiosos sobre la Navidad.

En Estados Unidos es común fabricar algunos productos orientados en la Navidad, como fragancias, jabón, crema para el cuerpo, etc.. Los sabores son geniales y puedes encontrar mucha variedad.

Las tres botellas son jabones y es muy normal llevar uno en el bolso para lavarte las manos cuando estas fuera de casa.

 

On the final of this post, I want to show you, the typical candies for Christmas time. The kids love them and some kids put them on the tree like a decoration. There are a lot of flavors, but this is the most typical, mint.

En el final de este post, quiero mostraros los típicos caramelos de Navidad. Los niños les encanta y algunos niños ponen estos caramelos en el árbol como decoración navideña. Hay muchos sabores, pero este es el mas típico, de menta.

Ah! and control the food, on Christmas the people gain 2 kg or more during these times. 😛       I’m just kidding you!
